Thales Austria GmbH is the former "Transport Solutions Division" of Alcatel-Lucent in Austria and operates within the "Security Solutions & Services" division of Thales since beginning of 2007.
Thales pioneered the design and implementation of electronic interlocking systems in Austria twenty years ago. Since then a continuous technological evolution of the safety-critical product portfolio was pursuit. The key products all have to be compliant with the highest safety integrity level (SIL 4) defined in European railway signalling equipment standards (CENELEC). With this background, Thales has significant experience in the design, implementation, testing, and rollout of complex safety-critical systems.
